WELCOME TO BERWICK
ARCHERS
Berwick
Archers meet on Mondays at Longridge Towers School sports
hall, usually from 7.00pm to 9.30pm. Our members come from
the local area in north Northumberland and the Scottish
Borders.
We
are a friendly club open to people of all abilities with membership
ranging from juniors to senior citzens. Archery is one of
the few sports which people from a very wide spectrum can
enjoy together and our membership includes families and people
with physical disabilities and learning disabilities.
We
are a target archery club and indoors we usually shoot at
20 yards using 60cm targets. Outdoors, in the summer we shoot
at various size targets at varying distances according to
members' preferences. We have a regular programme of club
competitions, coaching nights, etc, to suit those who shoot
just for the fun of it and those who want to progress in the
sport. We participate in the DNAA Logical League and the winter
postal league.
New members are always
welcome, whether experienced archers or beginners. Just go
to our Contact page to get in touch.
GNAS members from other clubs are always welcome as shooting
visitors.
INTRODUCTION TO ARCHERY
COURSE
We hold regular courses for newcomers
to the sport. See
our Beginners page for
more information and get in touch to book your place.
Our club is affiliated
to the Grand National Archery Society (GNAS),
which is also known as Archery GB, the national governing
body for the sport of archery in the UK. At regional level
we are affiliated the Northern Counties Archery Society (NCAS)
and the Durham & Northumberland Archery Association (DNAA).
All club members are also members of these national and regional
organisations.
